Movement for stability and awareness

When dealing with musculoskeletal problems, and sometimes with other issues too, posture and movement are often part of the cause, and therefore must be part of a long term solution.

We can use the manual therapies applied with an understanding of the biomechanics and movement, but once release of the soft tissues and structural alignment has improved, it is important to educate about posture and movement so people can escape the habits and traps that contributed to the problem.

Even when people have had a traumatic accident their movement is affected, so if they had perfect posture before the accident, (no one does) they will need to re learn how to use their changed structure, and account for the compensatory patterns developed by the injury.

Here is some information about the movement and exercise practices we use or draw from in working with people.
