This page serves as the entry to a resource about different medical conditions, patterns of dysfunction in the body, and advice in their management. It may help you find out more about and understand your problem as well as how we might approach the assessment and treatment of these conditions.

In Chinese medicine we have the language of ben (root) and biao (branch). The underlying or initial disease imbalance is the root or roots of a problem and the secondary or superficial symptoms are the branches. It is a neat analogy as there may be several roots and branches to find our way through, and it is also a useful way of thinking about structural and biomechanical disorders as well.
